About Haebin
"What you seek is impossible... I can fulfill that request. But be warned, it shall come at a price."
Haebin is old in a way that makes the court remember it has bones.
Haebin is a Lord of Kaljamah and Patriarch of the Crux clan, an associate of the underground vampiric stronghold and its ruling powers. He is a blood vampire, and his presence carries the weight of that truth: old hunger, old magic, old patience.
In Nazrin he is seen as a terrifying and powerful lordsomeone most people will not approach without good reason. He is not a court ornament. He is a force that has chosen, for now, to sit still.
Haebin is driven by accumulation.
Material gain is not merely greedit is a substitute for the loss of family, a way of stacking permanence where love once lived. He enjoys offending people when it costs him nothing, particularly shifters, and he harbors vengeance for Fall-untir and the Abaddons reign.
He wants holdings. He wants reach. He wants to reclaim what was taken in the westplaces like Kopyragum and he is patient enough to wait for the right moment to take them back.
You meet Haebin and you simply know this is someone you do not test.
Who is Haebin Crux
The Lord. The Arcanist. The Patriarch.
He is tall and thin, almost gangly, with pallid skin drawn tight over ancient structure. Bald and blind, he wears his ruin like a crown. His wings are vastlong enough that he can brace on them like extra legs, shifting his weight with a predatory patience that makes even seasoned killers reconsider their distance. If anyone in the realm ever inspired the idea of a Nosferatu, it would be Haebin: a creature that should not exist in polite company, and yet here he isa lord.
Haebin is seen as terrifying and powerful, a lord whose age has curdled into something sharp.
Most will not come close to him without good reason.
Haebin has demonstrated arcane mastery openly enough that even the arrogant learn caution.
He can dampen an area until magic feels dull and heavy, unreliable in the hands of anyone but him. He practices fumomancy; smoke shaped into concealment, separation, and pressure and he is capable of offensive spellwork delivered with casual precision. Those who have survived an encounter with him often speak of a worse truth beneath the display: an allusion to more powerful spells he does not bother to reveal unless forced.
He is also a capable melee opponent. When he chooses to close distance, blood becomes fuel and leverage; drain and empowerment braided together until the fight stops being a contest and becomes a lesson.

Combat
Ancient Blood Lord: Smoke, Spell, & Brutality
Arcane Dampening
Smothers a space until magic falters, wards weaken, casting becomes heavy, and the fight turns unfair in the quietest way possible.
Fumomancy
Commands smoke as concealment and weaponblinding; separating, and shaping the battlefield so opponents lose sight of exits, allies, and sense.
Blood Empowerment
Feeds mid-conflict to fuel strength and spellwork; capable in close quarters, he turns blood loss into momentum and ends fights before they become wars.
Where YOu Fit
What drives Haebin Crux?
Haebin is driven by absence and by maps. He collects because the world taught him what can be taken, and he refuses to be left empty-handed again—wealth, holdings, titles, favors stacked where family once lived.
It isn’t indulgence so much as proof: proof that loss did not end him, proof that he can still build something that lasts.
But the ledger has a second purpose. Haebin thinks in long timelines and westward lines, in corrections that outlive moods. The west is not a whim; it is a reclamation. Kopyragum is not merely a prize, but a statement that the Abaddon’s reach is not divine law and that what was erased can be rewritten.
Vengeance is his appetite, patience his weapon, and ownership—cold, undeniable ownership—is the ritual that keeps both fed.
Where Do You Stand?
A courtier trying to flatter your way into his favor, and praying you never become his amusement?
A Kaljamah loyalist who believes the west should be reclaimed—no matter the cost?
